Building adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change in the Central Asia

The Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for the Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB) aims to enhance regional access to improved climate change knowledge and climate services for project stakeholders. Under this program, the main objective of the project is to build capacity and produce knowledge products for increased adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change of Central Asia. Outputs include: 1. A climate risks and vulnerability assessment at national/sub-national/sectoral levels; 2. The development and recommendations for adaptation measures and methodologies, as well as 3. building capacity for mainstreaming climate change adaptation for their integration into key national/sub-national/sectoral policies, plans and investments programs.

Actual services provided by our staff within the assignment:

Services provided under the project include stakeholder consultations and regional workshops for capacity building and promoting mainstreaming climate change adaptation and mitigation into sectoral policies and planning activities. Technical works include detailed assessments of climate change risks, vulnerabilities and impacts in the region and the development as well as support for implementation of mitigation and adaptation measures.
