Revathi Narayanan

Revathi Narayanan is a water resource engineer with specialization in hydrological and hydraulic modelling. She has done her bachelors in civil engineering and masters in hydraulics and water resource engineering. She holds 3 years of professional experience in the field of water resources consultancy. Her specific interest lies in rainfall runoff modelling, 1D and 2D numerical modelling, flood modelling & real time forecast, flood risk assessment, flood hazard mapping, spatial data analysis & interpretation in GIS platforms, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. During her 3 years of experience, she has worked on multiple flood modelling projects in India, Nigeria and Tajikistan such as real time flood forecasting for Rapti basin, multi hazard risk assessment for Andhra Pradesh, water resource management in Pyanj river basin project of Tajikistan. She has also developed skills in modelling software’s like HEC-HMS, HEC-RTS, HEC-RAS and GIS tools like QGIS and ArcGIS. She also has conducted several training programs for HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS to Indian Government officials and officials of Hydromet Tajikistan as a part of capacity building.
