WFP is conducting emergency dike repairs and in addition has identified the need for full rehabilitation and upgrading the dikes, ensuring sustainability and durability. The Bahr el Jebel River that is responsible for the annual flood cycles in the Sudd has experienced some obvious changes in its flow recently, leading to a shift in flow regime that needs to be considered in assessing required dike levels and construction needs.

Preparation of dike construction works through detailed methodology development, quantity estimations and BoQ development. Consuct of environmental impact assessment.
