Integrated Water Resources Management Project (IWRMP)

Support the strengthening of the integrated water resources management (IWRM) to foster socioeconomic development in project areas in the river basin group covering rivers Moung Russei, Pursat, Sankar, and Svay Don Keo, all of which are located in the southwest Tonle Sap Lake (TSL) through three outputs: 1) Planning, coordination, and climate change adaptation capacities of water resources management strengthened. 2) Available water during dry season increased, 3) Flood risks during wet season reduced.

Actual services provided by our staff within the assignment:

Responsible for: (i) climate change assessments covering climate change risks and climate change impacts; (ii) flood and drought frequency analyses, develop flood modelling and flood and drought risk maps; (iii) plan for flood and drought forecasting systems, including training and capacity building plan; (iv) physical and non-physical modernization investment packages of meteorological and hydrology services and networks, including the program of training and capacity building in the form of feasibility level designs; and (v) following ADB project documents: Detailed Climate Change Assessment and Climate Change and Disaster Risk Assessment.
