Proposed Landslide Risk Management Project – Preparing the Investment Feasibility Study

Support of ICEM in development and preparation of proposed investment project for landslide risk management in line with ADB and government requirements, including of all necessary studies. The project will reduce the risk of landslide events. Interventions are both structural (civil works and equipment) and non-structural (capacity building, planning, training).

Actual services provided by our staff within the assignment:

Hydrological data collection, and analysis of hydromet situation in Kyrgyzstan, specifically with regards to extreme events. Impact assessment of hydrological variables and extreme events including heavy precipitation, flooding and landslide risk, develop design parameters for proposed sub-projects. Water sector vulnerability assessment including climate change and extreme events. Review of existing hydrometeorological monitoring network and development of proposal for additional stations and hydroposts including associated capacity improvements for monitoring hydrometeorological conditions, flood- and landslide risk.
