The irrigation sector in Afghanistan has undergone significant challenges in the past and is suffering from damages, general deterioration and management problems. The project closely works with counterparts to understand problems and develop technical as well as management solutions for improved irrigation infrastructure construction and management.
Actual services provided by our staff within the assignment:
Tasks conducted under the project include a detailed situational analysis and condition assessment in cooperation with local agencies to understand irrigation system challenges both on technical and operational level. Based on this analysis improvement options are developed and capacity building conducted. Further, plans for improved irrigation development have been developed including technical, operational and institutional aspects.
